Domaine Michaud

Founded three generations ago in Noyers-sur-Cher, Domaine Michaud has long been a benchmark in the Touraine-Chenonceaux appellation. Established in 1985, Thierry Michaud cultivated 25 hectares of south-facing vineyards overlooking the Cher Valley, rooted in flinty silex soils that lend purity and tension to the wines. The estate has been recognized for crafting expressive terroir-driven wines and is now in organic conversion, continuing its commitment to sustainable viticulture under the Terra Vitis approach.

The Michaud and Joseph Mellot families share a friendship dating back to their studies in Beaune in the early 1980s, united by a passion for Sauvignon Blanc and silex terroirs. After more than four decades at the helm, Thierry and Dorothée entrusted the estate to the Joseph Mellot family in 2025, ensuring continuity, environmental responsibility, and a promising new chapter in the domaine’s history.
