Château Fleur Ursuline
Located on the limestone terraces of Figeac, Cantenac, and Tertre Daugay, between Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, Château Fleur Ursuline cultivates a time-honored terroir with a deep commitment to sustainable practices.
Today, under the stewardship of Matthieu and Karine Verhaeghe, the estate has been fully certified organic since 2001, producing wines with no added sulfites and following natural cycles lunar influence, density-based selection, and extended manual pressing.
The vineyard spans approximately 6.3 hectares, planted with old vines 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc most over 50 years old, rooted in soils rich in silica, gravel, and iron oxides.
Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, encouraging spontaneous fermentation. Aging lasts from 2 to 5 years, depending on the vintage, with no fining or filtration, and a clear focus: preserving fruit purity and terroir identity.
The result is a refined certified organic Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, offering a complex and silky bouquet, fine-grained tannins, and a deep structure that reflects the elegance of Bordeaux’s Right Bank.
