Domaine Ménard-Gaborit

At the heart of the Nantes vineyard, around the Moulin de la Minière one of the rare preserved windmills of the region and one of the highest points in the appellation Domaine Ménard-Gaborit has been cultivating its vines since 1734. Today, François Ménard, the sixth generation, alongside Pauline, is writing the next chapter of this exceptional family story. The estate spans approximately 60 hectares in Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine, planted on siliceous clay soils over a gneiss bedrock a character-driven terroir that lends the wines their salinity and mineral tension.

Entirely devoted to Melon de Bourgogne, the domaine offers a rich range of nine Muscadet cuvées, from the communal crus of Gorges, Monnières Saint-Fiacre and Le Pallet to single-parcel wines from the Inspirations range. Sur lie ageing, lasting from 6 to 48 months depending on the cuvée, develops the complexity, texture and ageing potential that are the hallmarks of great Muscadet.
