Domaine Darnaud

What began in 2001 as a modest 1.5-hectare venture in Crozes-Hermitage has blossomed into a 15-hectare estate spanning some of the Northern Rhône’s most revered appellations. From its early days, founder Emmanuel [Last Name] championed a parcel-by-parcel approach, meticulously vinifying each plot to capture the distinct character of sites across La Roche de Glun, Pont de l’Isère, and Mercurol. Hand-harvesting, partial destemming (since 2016), and patient élevage in barrels, demi-muids, and vats reflect his pursuit of balance and terroir transparency.

The domaine’s ambition grew with the 2010 addition of Saint-Joseph vines in Tournon’s sun-baked "Dardouille" lieu-dit, followed by a pivotal 2021 acquisition: 1.5 hectares of Hermitage’s legendary Bessards and Greffieux slopes from the esteemed Bernard Faurie.

Today, the estate crafts wines that marry power with finesse—each cuvée a testament to Emmanuel’s exacting standards and the Rhône’s granite-driven soul.
